Did you know...
EPPL recently went fine-free, meaning you do not have late fees for returning items a few days late. You still receive a bill if you keep it too long or never return it. This has been the trend in libraries for over 5 years and has been successful across the country.
Why I love the Library
Families like mine use the Library to borrow 20+ books each week for bedtime stories, attend storytimes, and meet neighbors in a family-friendly place. Other residents borrow books and DVDs, use private study rooms, use computers and printers, relax, and meet friends, and so much more. The $200 each household pays for public library services is a great bargain, as long as the Library has a positive vision for how to serve residents.
I've worked at locally and nationally recognized libraries and bring a vision for a successful, innovative Library for Elmwood Park.
